AnalyiSport are a start-up on a mission to transform top-flight football. Drawing expertise from a network of elite football professionals, they aim to become a global training hub for current and aspiring analysts.
The Client
There are currently few training or development resources for professional analysts, or for young fans thinking seriously about a career in football. AnalyiSport asked us how they could fill this gap.
The Strategy
Working closely with the AnalyiSport’s team, we proposed to create a full syllabus of interactive courses that would:
- Give learners the opportunity to interact with data
- Capture the look and feel of digital processes in top-flight football
- Deliver expert content at a level to provide value to experienced analysts
- Be immersive and engaging enough to make an ideal gift for a football fan
The Process
Leveraging AnalyiSport’s network, we developed a team of heavyweight subject-matter experts, including analysts from the English Premier League and Championship, the Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga.
Our content team conducted interviews with the experts to generate a large volume of high-value content. From this we developed a full modular syllabus, with three pathways for learners at different levels.
The next step was course creation. Our writers turned technical ideas and know-how into learner-friendly scripts, then our learning design team set to work creating custom interactions. Our favourite activity invites learners to solve a football “whodunnit,” by using data to tackle a mysterious problem in central midfield.
Finally, iterative development and testing brought the design to life.
